Amant Antennas introduces revolutionary antenna designs to solve current challenges in the telecommunication industry such as LEO satellites communications, connectivity coverage for rural areas and more. Enjoy reading about our telecommunication solutions below!

LEO Satellites

LEO satellites are commonly arranged in constellations for optimal coverage. These constellations can consist of tens of thousands of satellites to ensure global reach. Several mega-constellations, including Starlink by SpaceX, Kuiper by Amazon, OneWeb, and CubeSat, are already in operation. This presents a significant challenge for managing terminals and ground stations due to the large number of satellites in orbit.

Amant has a unique wideband lightweight passive foldable/deployable multibeam antenna with simultaneous vertical and horizontal sectorization.

Multibeam antennas on a LEO satellite and a ground station

  • Generate an arbitrary number of beams with arbitrary tilt angles and arbitrary beamwidths for LEO satellites and Earth stations
  • Cover any set of areas having arbitrary shapes and sizes while it is mounted on a quasi-stationary platform (e.g., drones) with a movement in all directions.
  • Simultaneously cover up to 60 different areas at arbitrary vertical and horizontal angles.
  • Communicate with up to 60 other antennas (satellites, earth stations, aircrafts, base stations, stadium, DAS, radars, etc.).
  • Used as a receive only TV antenna to receive from up to 60 satellites.
  • Remotely controlled to cover any set of areas, shapes, and sizes (a circle, quasi-rectangle, quasi triangle, half a circle, etc).
  • Automatically and remotely controlled to cover fixed areas while it is mounted on a quasi-stationary platforms (Aircrafts) with a movement in all directions.

The new multibeam antenna technology with the new innovative beam steering technique forms a unique simple antenna configuration for all LEO satellites and terminals (ground station).

Broadcast Solutions for Rural Areas

The growing demand for telecommunication solutions in rural areas is driven by the increasing reliance on mobile devices. As more users in remote locations seek connectivity, there is a pressing need for robust, reliable, and cost effective communication infrastructure. Meeting these demands will require innovative approaches to expand coverage and improve access to mobile services in underserved areas.

Amant Antennas has developed a cost effective multiband-multibeam antenna tailored for various wireless applications, particularly in rural areas.

  • Allows for remote control of its parameters, enabling coverage of areas of any shape and size.
  • Supports all necessary frequency bands for wireless communication.
  • Enables separate control of gain at each frequency band, providing the flexibility to generate the required gain for specific frequencies.
A Single antenna can cover the 5G-sub-6GHz band (3.3-7GHz), the mm-wave band (25-35GHz) or the LTE band (0.7-3.8 GHz)

Passive Repeaters

In complex environments, obstacles, such as tall urban structures, often disrupt connectivity, posing challenges for users. Limited base station availability exacerbates this issue in telecommunication infrastructure, necessitating repeaters to extend coverage. However, existing solutions like Intelligent Reconfigurable Surfaces (RIS) are intricate and economically impractical. Addressing these complexities is crucial for enhancing connectivity in challenging environments.

The passive repeater antenna can receive wireless signals from any number of resources from different directions having different frequency bands. The repeater can then reradiate the signals of all these wireless applications to cover any number of areas having any arbitrary shape.

  • Generates an arbitrary number of beams with arbitrary vertical and horizontal angles for each beam.
  • Covers the frequency bands of all applications.
  • Covers any user at any horizontal angle and at any vertical height, in any blocked or unblocked area.
  • Do not use any active components and they do not require any power sources.
  • The shape, the size and the vertical elevations of the covered areas can be remotely controlled using automatic control techniques.

Amant’s passive repeaters are adaptable for mounting on either stationary or quasi-stationary platforms, such as aircraft, to provide coverage over fixed areas of any shape.

Handheld portable Devices/IOT Terminals

Modern handheld devices encounter various antenna challenges, primarily stemming from the necessity to incorporate matching circuits. The power consumption of such circuits negatively impacts battery life. Furthermore, they impose limitations on bandwidth due to their frequency dependence and introduce random polarization, exacerbating interference issues. Consequently, these challenges impede the efficient use of antennas, particularly in applications requiring circular polarization, such as GPS and satellite phones.

Amant developed a novel small dual polarized antenna technology for all terminals and handsets, satellite phones, portable communication equipment, vehicles, etc.
